The history associated with the grandeur and prosperity of the Gondwana Empire in central India still tells of its magnificent heritage. One of these beautiful contrasts is the Deogarh Castle. The Gond Dynasty of Diorach came into existence at the end of the sixteenth century and developed in the mid-eighteenth century.
Deogarh Fort is located in the village of Deogarh in Mohakhed Block, 40 km from Chhindwara district. On the Chhindwara Nagpur Highway, from Umarnala to Mohangarh Lohngi village to Devganj village. One of the unique forts of Gondwana, the fort is situated on a 650 meter high hill of the Satpura range and is known for its glorious history. There is a deep trench around the fort and there are very dense forests. The village of Devganj is located in the mountainous region of Kash in the east.
Deogarh is the headquarters of the ancient Gond kingdom of Nagore and Pasandhara, and at one time it was more famous than both Garh and Chandrag (Russell, 1908). In its splendid history of nearly one hundred and fifty years, the first was under the shadow of the Ghats, and after the death of Queen Durga, the Mughal Emperor Akbar was overthrown in 1564 AD. After the fall of the Mughals, the state of Diogarh was good for a few decades, but the rise of the Marathas from the south gave the sun a moderate status in the state.
After the killing of Jatwa, Ransur and Ghansur, the founder of the Gond force at Dioharh, the Gondi Shakti flag was hoisted at the Deogarh fort. Raja Jatwa was so influential and famous that Akbar himself came to Deogarh in 1590 AD from Great Delhi to meet him and was honored with many gifts and honors (Siddhok, 1899). 60 years after the administration of Gaurav Shali. Raja Jatwa died in 1602 AD.
Raja Jatwa also built the Pattansavangi and Nagardhan forts along with the Devagiri (Russell, 1907). A copper coin in the name of Raja Jatwa which is kept in the Nagpur Museum, on which is written "Sri Raja Jatwa Pratyraj" with fine characters, is a testimony to the prosperity of the Devagarh. The village of Vijayapura where the Jatva is settled today is located in the Khesh Mountain region. . The former can be seen. The village of Jayantpura founded by Baktabuland Shah is located south of the fort now known as Pathanpura.
In this Akbari, Abul Fazl described Jatba as the lord of one and a half thousand, fifty thousand footmen and a hundred elephants.
In the mountain of Deogharts there is the tomb of the Durva kings. It is the tomb of the famous Durva king Jataba (Gondwana Darshan, 2013). Even today, the Gondgar (7 gods) of the Dhurve tribe go to Devgansh for the Gongo and worship their god Bhdi. To this day the continents, palaces and palaces of the great fortress of Deogarh, and the tomb of King Jatba are counted among the principal places. According to the unpublished thesis of the renowned historian Velankar, the three sons of the Jatwa king were Dalpasha, Durgsha and Kochcha, the eldest of whom was Dalsha Raja Jatwa. After Diego's death he sat on the throne and his reign lasted until 1634 AD. After the death of Dalsha, his younger brother Koksha became the next king of Dioharch in 1634 AD
Koksha alias Kokia is the ruler of the Nagpur Fort along with the Deogarh Fort. Subedar Devaji was appointed to look after Nagpur. Kochha died in 1640 AD and was succeeded by his son Kesari Shah. It was attacked by the Mughal Emperor Shahnawaz Khan in 1648 AD, and later by the Mughal commander Mirza Khan in 1658, during the U Rangabeh era. Thus, up to 1660 AD, Keshari Shah continued to rule over the Mughals and greatly influenced the Mughals (Russell, 1908).
After the death of Keshari Shah in 1660 AD, Gorakh Shah succeeded him and took over the Dioghar. Because of the failure to pay rent by the time of Gorkha Shah, many responsibilities were raised, so in 2069 AD, Dileir Khan invaded Deogarh and attacked the entire fort. Complete. Eliminated with artillery, captured Goraksha, the youngest of his five sons made two sons Muslims. Dylar Khan has sons Islamabad Khan and Didar Khan. Thus, the goddess is called the Islamic name of Islam.
